About

Laura studied for a degree in Three Dimensional Design metals at Surrey Institute of Art and Design, going on to become an Ornamental Blacksmith and draftsman, creating work on the Queen Mothers waiting room and the Langham hotel. But don’t worry she has traded her hammer and anvil for a nice traditional tattoo machine!

She went on to train for her apprenticeship under the watchful eye of Jason Ross, then based at the Blue Dragon in Brighton (Now with his own studio, South Coast Tattoos Worthing).

Laura frequently takes on commissioned portraits of favourite pets and people outside of her work, and can always be found working on new artwork.

Laura has been tattooing professionally now for nine years and The Wild Hare is her own creation.

She loves creating grey shade works with an emphasis on period military tattoos, pin ups, animal portraits, equally loving to tackle new styles and Japanese work in all its vivid colours.

The studio at The Wild Hare in Alton  is warm and inviting, anyone wanting a chat about a tattoo with Laura will be booked in for a free consultation, or if you catch her at the right time (usually between 10-11 or 1-2) she’ll pop down and have a natter about your design.

To book in for your tattoo a deposit is taken, and also for design work which then becomes the deposit for the tattoo. Laura will spend some time creating your design so you can make any alterations if needed and you get the most out of the booking time you have with her. You can allow her to do all the research with just a verbal starting point or you can bring in a stack of your own ideas for her to work with.

The Wild Hare is a chilled approachable studio working very hard to make you guys feel really welcome, and working even harder to put nervous cookies at ease!

Laura is licensed with East Hampshire District council to practice tattoos at The Wild Hare premises.

Laura uses World Famous inks and Eternal inks and if you are really worried you could have allergies we offer doing a small patch test in these cases to put your mind at rest.

All needles are pre-sterilised and pre-packed in blister packs and are single use disposable needles. Grips are sterilised in an autoclave approved by Basingstoke and Deane health authority.

Laura works to the highest safety standards to ensure that her customers are confident and relaxed they will get the best care and treatment she can offer.

Be aware Laura does not tattoo hands or faces and rarely does necks unless you are already heavily tattooed.

She needs feeding at regular intervals and will accept sweets from strangers!
